AssistAble Living is about helping elderly people remain able in their own homes for as long as possible. It’s practical, everyday support that makes life safer, easier, and more comfortable - without taking away independence.
We believe that growing older shouldn’t mean losing choice, dignity, or the familiarity of home. Our role is to assist, not to take over: to help with the small but important things that allow people to continue living confidently in the place they know best.
AssistAble Living is non-medical, respectful, and personalised support - focused on real needs, real homes, and real lives.
Stay independent. Stay at home. Stay supported.
As we get older, most people prefer to stay in their own homes, surrounded by familiar spaces and routines. AssistAble Living offers practical, non-medical support to help you continue living safely and comfortably, while giving your family peace of mind.

This is not medical care - just practical support focused on dignity and independence.

You're not overreacting
If you’ve started worrying, there’s probably a reason.
Maybe your parent has had a fall, seems less steady, or you just have a feeling that everyday tasks are becoming harder. But starting the conversation - and knowing what to do next - can feel overwhelming.
A Home Assessment gives you clear, practical guidance without rushing into big decisions.
What a Home Assessment actually does
We look at how everyday life really works at home.
During the visit, we gently walk through the home and daily routines to spot risks, obstacles, and suggest small changes that could make a big difference.
You’ll receive:
• A clear overview of safety risks
• Practical suggestions you can act on immediately
• Advice tailored to your parent’s habits and mobility
• A summary you can share with siblings or caregivers
No pressure to book ongoing services. Many families simply want clarity and peace of mind.
Who it's for
Who benefits most from a home assessment?
If you can’t always be there or you live far away, a Home Assessment helps you understand what’s really going on day to day - and what can be done to improve safety without taking away independence.
Perfect if:
• Your parent lives alone
• You live far away or can’t visit often
• There’s been a recent fall or hospital stay
• You’re noticing small changes in mobility or memory
• You want to plan ahead, not wait for a crisis
How it works
Simple, supportive, and at your pace.
Step 1 - Book the Visit
Choose a time that works for your family.
Step 2 - Friendly Walk-Through
We observe movement, routines, and home layout with care and respect.
Step 3 - Clear Recommendations
You receive practical advice and next steps, explained in plain language.
Step 4 - Optional Follow-Up
If you’d like help making the recommended changes, we can assist - but there’s no obligation.
For your Parent or Loved One
Support that respects independence.
We know that accepting help can feel sensitive. Our approach is calm, respectful, and focused on empowering your parent - not taking control away from them.
Our goal is to support confidence and comfort in their own home, not create dependence.
Optional Support Services
Extra help if your family would find it useful.
Some clients ask us to help with small changes after the assessment - like organising living spaces, setting up reminders on phones, or helping with transport for appointments.
These services are optional and can be used as needed.
A small visit can make a big difference.
Whether you’re planning ahead or responding to a recent concern, we’re here to help you feel more confident about home safety and independence.
What we don't offer
Clear boundaries, honest expectations.
AssistAble Living is a non-medical home support service. We don’t provide medical care, nursing, or personal care services.
We do not offer bathing, toileting, feeding, lifting or transfers, wound care, medication administration, nursing care, or medical advice.
Our role is practical home safety and independence support - and we’ll always tell you if your parent needs medical or specialist help instead. We're happy to help you understand what type of provider may be appropriate.
